The modern world is highly dependent upon technologies as it channelizes the efforts of the human being towards success. Some of the most emergent technologies that assist an individual and Business are:
Internet of Things (loT): This is a technology that provides the data to the business in the context of market improvement, such as increase sales, decrease costs, and profit growth. loT mainly aims to increment the business channel which offers innovative solutions to existing and new consumers. This technology helps to transfer the data by using the networks and it does not require any human to computer or computer to computer interaction. According to Gartner, about 8.4 billion loT devices were in existence, and the Net world spending on loT is about $2 trillion in 2017 (Gartner, 2017).
Virtual Reality (VR)/Augmented Reality(A/R): This is a multisensory computer-generated experience that allows users to access virtual worlds by employing complete immersion into a simulated world. VR headsets allow the haptics, motion, and location sensors along with high-resolution 3D graphical displays that are like live visuals (Marr, 2019).
Serverless Computing: This is a cloud computing service that deploys codes by running snippets of back-end code written by a developer for a short-lived task and function to simplify codes. Serverless computing is generally available via cloud developers like Google Cloud Platform, IBM Cloud Functions and Microsoft Azure
Benefit of Emerging technologies on stakeholders
Stakeholders can use emergent technologies like loT to detect & troubleshoot issues remotely, estimate maintenance needs and track production line efficiency. This assists them to analyse the company’s revenue.
Employment of serverless computing is generally cost-effective and can be afforded by financially weaker sections of stakeholders to simplify different codes through cloud providers like Google Cloud Platform and IBM Cloud functions. Server computing provides a facility of Decoding and at the same time reduces the overall operational costs and increases worker efficiency.
Stakeholders like management have shown its vested interest in Virtual Reality as it assists them in professional training, architectural designing, augmented reality anatomy and planning & packing delivery management.
Risks associated with emerging technologies for stakeholders
The biggest downside of using emergent technologies for stakeholders is identified in terms of each emergent technology. For example, loT has high security and privacy risks, as the undetected surveillance is massive. This risk comes when a device is connected to the internet (Ari et al., 2019). On the other hand, increased attack surface is the biggest risk that is found at the time of using Serverless computing. This relates to the issue in detection of messages encrypted by a stakeholder with the use of hypertext Protocol (HTTP). The performance of security testing in serverless computing is complex as compared to standard application testing. This takes more time in completing the overall process of cloud computing.
Legal and Ethical consideration (related to emerging technologies)
The legal and ethical consideration of IoT can be identified from the fact that it does not only consider only objects but also the relationship between an object and humans. This necessitates the technology to consider legal and ethical IoT cohabitation with humans.
Educational pressure on coders or serverless computing users has necessitated the introduction of the training programmes. For example, the Dutch government has instructed users not to experiment with cloud computing services available from private vendors and instead develop their own closed cloud for employment in IT functions (De Bruin and Floridi, 2016).
Evaluation of project progress
The accomplishment of a project is generally tricky, especially with a project involving more human and financial capitalisation. The success of the project depends upon the strategies planned and implemented in real practice and in this regard, I would recommend 5 general strategies that lays the foundation of a productive project, these are:
Start-up with End in Mind: This is concerned with the logical coordination of program with final outputs. This mainly relates to the identification of goal considering the capacity of the team members.
Identification of duties and responsibilities: This is a crucial strategy which involves identification of duties and responsibilities of every member. This leads to a clear understanding of the assigned duties.
Identification of skills: It is important for a project manager to identify skills required in a project processing and accomplishment, especially at the beginning, where the identification of the skills is set as main criteria for achieving the final output,
Build a highly competent team: This strategy helps the project in the way that it defines the right strategies and align it to programmes and projects.
Follow up measures: The project manager must ensure that the monitoring process is taken care of from time to time. In this regard, a team meeting is crucial to manage people and communicate information.
Success and failure factor in a project
Success and failure of a project depend upon the strategies adopted to complete a project. Furthermore, the influence of leadership style also leads to positive or negative outcomes. For example, democratic style of leadership is generally regarded as productive, as it leads to a sound atmosphere within the team (Solaja, Idowu and James, 2016). Goal identification is another factor that leads to success or failure. In case of clear and understandable goal, the chances of productivity increase. Communication factor is one of the most important factors which affects the operational state of a project and thereby, the result. This is because, inflow and outflow of information ensure that a task is finished within the deadline.

According to British Computer Society, the issue of privacy and security in the IT industry is very significant, especially when a project is prepared with medical, financial, and legal information. Therefore, the main legal and ethical issue relates to the issue of security and privacy like the authenticity of company information and system security. The protection of this information is required to have a principle that guides IT professionals from the initiation stage itself (NCS, 2020).
